Netflix and Its Great Communication Skills

Communication skills are essential to any good company or brand. Brands are constantly trying to find a way to come up with creative ideas, and get their audiences engaged. There have been many companies that have successfully tackled the industry and taken it by storm.

One noteworthy company with great communication skills is Netflix. But why is Netflix so great and what makes it special? Well, let’s dive in!

  1. Netflix Is Always Alert

Netflix always knows what is going on, and what trends to respond to. It is extremely active on its social media platforms, with about 14 tweets per day. It is informed on pop culture, and finds a way to incorporate it in its content. If any trends are happening, Netflix will not only know, but also participate.

If any of its followers have opinions or shows, you’ll often find Netflix responding. It clearly cares about what they have to say, which is a key skill to have.

2. Netflix Has Strategic and Important Campaigns

Netflix has had fairly influential campaigns throughout its existence, and discusses many important topics. Within the past year, it has created campaigns that are noteworthy for the communications industry.

One of these campaigns, launched during the second season of 13 Reasons Why. It discussed heavy topics such as suicide and bullying, and even offered helpline services to tackle them. It showed that it cared about its audience and wasn’t afraid to tackle difficult subjects, which was pretty great. Additionally, the show received a lot of promotion, and awareness was spread for these topics.

3. Netflix Knows About Variety

Keeping an audience engaged is a #1 communication skill that every brand should have. Netflix constantly posts a variety of content for its audience to enjoy, which is extremely important for its success.

It switches things up by updating fans on different social media platforms. You can find Netflix posting constantly on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Netflix focuses quite a bit on posting videos. Oftentimes, they are previews or sneak peaks to an upcoming show or movie release. Its audience is always ready to hear about what’s next, and ready to see who will be starring in the next big film.

Along with videos, it makes sure to post a variety of content such as tweets, GIFS and pictures.

4. Netflix Has a Personality

Having humorous content for followers to enjoy is always a plus, and Netflix never fails to disappoint. You will always find it tweeting humorous content, and responding in a comedic manner.

This keeps followers engaged and on their toes, which is always good for business!
